The first official trailer for the US version of film — directed by The Social Network’s David Fincher — opens in theaters Dec. 21. Sex, violence, mystery, motorbikes, lesbian kisses and Euro accents — the revealing three-and-a-half-minute-long trailer is a heart-pumping ride that looks pretty faithful to the bestselling books by Stieg Larsson.

Rooney Mara (Zuckerberg’s ex-girlfriend in The Social Network) nails the skinny, spiky and volatile computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, with a top Swedish accent to boot. Daniel Craig plays journalist Mikael Blomkvist, who enlists Lisbeth’s help in solving a seemingly impossible mystery.
