Lindsay Lohan is prepared to fork over $5 million for a love-nest she will share with lesbian partner Sam Ronson. Just don’t expect residents of Manhattan’s famed Dakota Building, where Lindsay is eyeing a lush penthouse, to roll out the Welcome Wagon in anticipation of the lezzies’ arrival.

Residents in the building, where Beatles legend John Legend lived until his murder in the main entrance in in 1980, are speaking out against the move due to Lindsay’s reputation as a drug-addicted party girl with a penchant for drama.

“Lindsay’s had her eye on the Dakota building for years. It’s an iconic building and she’s not bothered about the complaints from residents. She plans to make it a hotbed for parties,” a squealing snitch dished in this week’s edition of Britain’s News of the World.

According to News of the World, Lindsay and Samantha has enlisted the services of an interior designer.

She wants a garish 12ft circular bed with leopard-print headboard, “Hers and Hers” monogrammed towels, separate pink and black bathrooms, and a sitting room with DJ area and a huge glitterball.

Celebrities who have resided at The Dakota since its opening in 1976 include R&B singer Roberta Flack, actor Steve Guttenberg, late SNL comic Gilda Radnor, and talk show host Maury Povich.
