How bad is a show if even its parent network doesn’t want anyone to see it?

The CW has decided not to offer any early press screening of the first episode of the new Beverly Hills, 90210. The network announced on Monday that it will not send out DVDs of the show before its September 2 debut on the network.

“The CW and our studio partner CBS Paramount Network Television have made the strategic marketing decision not to screen ‘90210′ for any media in advance of its premiere,” the network and studio said in a statement. “We’re not hiding anything … simply keeping a lid on ‘90210′ until 9.02, riding the curiosity and anticipation into premiere night, and letting all our constituents see it at the same time.”

This isn’t a good sign. The screener shutdown has left many critics wondering just how much this show sucks?

I think this show is going to be like gossip girls. All hype and not that much people watching it.
