Tom Cruise is adopting the Beckhams.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes surprised the David and Victoria Beckham over the Thanksgiving holiday by asking that the two power clans “marry” each other in a bizarre ceremony at the Cruises’ New York townhouse later this month.

The families will “vow to be brothers and sisters” during the unorthodox adoption ceremony, according one report out of Britain.

“Tom and David have been friends for years and they and their families spend a lot of time together. Tom wanted to make a special gesture that would show how much he appreciates their friendship and he thought this would be the perfect way.”
