
Disney’s The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian unseated superhero epic Iron Man at the box office this weekend. The sequel to 2004’s The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe pulled in $56.6 million, ending Iron Man’s two week run at the top of the box office.
“This is a film that we think is going to play all summer long and it’s got nothing but school holidays in front of it,” Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Group president, Mark Zoradi, said in a statement on Sunday.
Disney is so excited about the reception of the second Chronicles of Narina, the studio is already in pre-production for the franchise’s third sequel. The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader is set for a Summer 2010 release.

the makers of Prince Caspian kept to the original story in a lot of ways, but then strayed in others… i had heard they were going to make it into a silly pure-action flick, but thankfully this was not the case
