It is the end of an era. MTV closed the curtain on it’s video countdown staple Total Request Live after ten season on Sunday night. The Backstreet Boys were among the acts who graced the stage at the show’s Times Square studios for one last performance. Here is a video of the veteran boy band performing their 1999 hit “I Want It That Way.”

Wow! They sounded great! lol So did the audience. Personally I Want IT That Way is more the anthem for TRL and that generation than any other song of the era!! More easily recognizable, certainly more easily sung–there’s a reason everyone and bird lipsyncs to this song!!!!!

I love the backstreet boys still to this very day. I saw them in Victoria BC in September and it was amazing and I had such great seats fourth row from the side of the stage. Brian kept waving and singing to us it was unbelievable they all interact with the crowd so well. This was my third time seeing them live and cannot wait for the fourth. I am 25 years old now and will still be a fan when I am 35.
Keep the backstreet pride alive.
Love there biggest fan Irini
