While Sci-Fi/Fantasy is usually well known for it’s amazing graphics, creative storytelling and outstanding special effects, there is also another component that makes this genre successful: Beautiful Women. In honor of the lovely ladies who sometimes make these films worth seeing, we’ve comprised a list. So take a journey with us through space, the underworld and even Middle Earth as we count down the 50 Hottest Women of Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

50. Peta Wilson


Sci-Fi/Fantasy Role: Mina Harker in The League of Extraordinary Gentleman

Australian born Peta Wilson started acting in the mid-1990’s, with her breakout role coming as the lead in ‘La Femme Nikita’, a hit television show. But Wilson really showed her stuff when she starred as vampire Mina Harker in ‘League of Extraordinary Gentlemen’. Being the only girl in a male cast can be daunting, but Peta took on the challenge and came out on top. She often attributes her other roles to her success as Mina, and we attribute the success of the movie to her beautiful face and other-ah, assets.


49. Ashley Scott


Sci-Fi/Fantasy Role: Gigolo Jane in A.I. Artificial Intelligence

Ashley Scott got her breakthrough playing a prostitute opposite Haley Joel Osment, Jude Law and William Hurt in A.I. Artificial Intelligence. Scott went on to star in Dark Angel, Into the Blue, and The Kingdom. Scott said she had reservations about appearing on Dark Angel, just because she didn’t want to disappoint fans. “Not being a comic book fan, being thrown into that and seeing the extreme – it’s taken very seriously. So I tried to do as much learning as I could about it so I wasn’t mean or anything”.

So her relationship with her movie star dad isn’t the best, but Angelina Jolie doesn’t seem to mind! This beauty lands our list with her role as Fox, the gun slinging super lady from Wanted. Sci-Fi/Fantasy Role: Elizabeth Swan in The Pirates of the Caribbean
No wonder she doesn’t have time to eat anything! Keira Knightley is on of the busiest stars in Hollywood! With several awards and nominations, this British beauty brought a new level of class to the fantasy world. Keira has starred in other films in this genre, including King Arthur, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and the upcoming Never Let Me Go, but some of her best work remains on Pirates of the Caribbean.

One part rock legend and one part playboy playmate, could you ask for a better combination? Liv Tyler certainly has the looks and when she uttered her first words in Elvish, fanboys went wild. Everyone knew that Arwen was a beautiful character, but when Liv Tyler was cast, it sealed the deal. I know that the next time I’m being chased by Ringwraiths I hope that this hot elf comes to the rescue!

Teenage boys around the world sneaked out to see her in Kill Bill, and I don’t blame them. This Chicago born beauty is sure to please anyone who sees her on screen.

Growing up in Vancouver, Carrie Ann Moss was exposed to acting at a young age. After touring Europe with a children’s group, Carrie Ann came home and enrolled in acting school, and I’m sure fans of the Matrix thank her for it every day. Trinity is probably her most well-known role, solidifying her as a fantasy figure for fans around the world.

Perhaps one of the most overlooked shows to come out in the last couple of years, The Legend of the Seeker brings an amazing fantasy world to television every week. Wielding daggers and a tightly laced corset, Bridget Regan is one of the most refreshing beauties to enter the Sci-Fi/Fantasy world. Since the show got renewed for a second season, we can bet we’ll be seeing Bridget for a while, and we’re pretty thankful. This California girl is smokin’!
