That Was Fast: Zayn Malik Has Already Released A New Single

Not even a week after jumping ship from One Direction, Zayn Malik is already releasing some new music. File this one under: That Was Fast!

Malik departed the band, stating that the spotlight was too much for him and that he wanted to be a regular guy. Apparently he didn’t want to be that much of a “regular guy” because right after leaving the boy band, he has released a single. Pretty crazy, right?

Zayn Malik has already released his first single apart from One Direction, titled “I Don’t Mind” featuring Naughty Boy. You can check out the below video to hear Malik’s first attempt at a solo career below:

Zayn Malik has yet to comment on the new track, but his former bandmate Louis Tomlinson isn’t taking the news lying down. He tweeted, “@NaughtyBoyMusic I was talking about the video you tweeted. Clearly trying to wind the fans up! Well you succeeded anyway. Fair play”.

Naughty Boy said in response, “@Louis_Tomlinson calm down. was talkin bout Louis Walsh cuz he didn’t let someone through on X factor. Look @ the date of the tweet. #2014”.

We’re not yet sure whether or not Malik’s huge fan base are fans of the new music that he just released, but we know that it is a definite departure from One Direction’s music. Malik left the insanely popular boy band amid rumors that he was cheating on his fiance Perrie Edwards. One fan came forward to say that she bedded the singer on One Direction’s recent tour. That has yet to be confirmed, but we’re guessing that his new solo music is about to fall flat.
