Aching for a hearty laugh? In today’s edition of “When Reality Stars Sing,” Jo Rivera — the pot-smokin’ pop famous for knocking up one of MTV’s “Teen Moms” — raps to his “shorty” in the music video for his debut single, “Unthinkable Remix.” That’s right, like Countess LuAnn, Kim Zolciak, and Brooke Hogan before him, Jo’s elbowing his way into that illustrious club of untalented music wannabes who should have just stuck to living their lives out on camera for our enjoyment.
Does every reality star these days have a song to sing?
For those not in-the-know, Rivera — who goes by the hard-as-nails hip-hop moniker Nick B — is the baby daddy of Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry. The exes share a young son named Isaac. Kailyn, however, was no where in sight as Rivera lusted over a pretty brunette and wobbled over the backing track to Alicia Keys’ 2010 hit “Unthinkable.”
“Hey pretty mami, you look sweet a mi [to me],” Rivera raps to a lass he picked up in a bodega. “You the type of shorty I’ve been dying to meet/I’m surviving the heat…..Beauty and brains combined, you so complete/Your pinky tow ring shining highlight your feet.”
We haven’t heard lyrics that chuckleworthy since Spencer Pratt’s chicken wing rap. Couple that with the out-of-tune hook singer (identified as Steeve Sam) and the phrase “Chile puhhleeze!” seems fitting here.
No word yet on what the baby mama thinks of Jo’s “skills.”
