Hot off the presses, TwiHards. Hollywood producers are plotting a plan to continue cashing in on the unprecedent mega-success of The Twilight Saga film franchise by producing a brand-new spinoff series starring one of music’s most beloved tween sensations — country blondie Taylor Swift!

According to a scoop from The National Enquirer’s veteran snitch Mike Walker, the guitar-strumming hitmaker– who’s sold more albums than ANY artist in 2009 – could follow in the footsteps of her rumored real-life boytoy Taylor Lautner, who already plays lovesick werewolf Jacob in the saga.

Summit Entertainment is still courting a skeptical Stephenie Meyer — who penned the hit literary series on which the films are based — to pen a screenplay for the proposed spinoff. However, producers are already eyeing a plot, set 20 years into the future, that would see Taylor as the half human/half vampire lovechild of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s on-screen lovers Edward and Bella.

Producers are “absolutely convinced Taylor will kill in the role,” an insider dishes. “She has unbelievable presence, and they think she and Taylor Lautner project great chemistry together.”
