Tag Heuer Drops Tiger Woods
Tag Heuer is done wasting time with Tiger. The Swiss watch maker dumped the disgraced sports icon on Friday, announcing it will no longer use Tiger Woods’ image for their ads in the US in the wake of the golfer’s scandalous sex scandal.
“We recognize Tiger Woods as a great sportsman but we have to take account of the sensitivity of some consumers in relation to recent events,” Tag Heuer CEO Jean-Christophe Babin told Swiss daily Le Matin today.
Tiger, 34, has also been dropped by Accenture and Gillette since news broke of his reported extramarital affairs with at least 14 women late last month.
