Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria gives birth to baby girl
It’s a girl for the Crown Princess of Sweden!
Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel, are now the parents of a healthy baby girl. According to the proud papa, the baby was 20 inches long and weighed a little over 7 pounds. “When I left the room the little princess was sleeping on her mother’s chest and they were looking very cozy,” an emotional Daniel told reporters. “The little daughter and the crown princess are doing very well.”
As for mom, she will one day assume the throne of Sweden, currently that role is held by her father, King Carl XVI Gustaf. Swedish law was amended 3 years after Princess Victoria was born, allowing the first born female child to ascend to the throne.
Congrats to Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel on their new baby.
