Just because some quack convinced her to invest a big chunk of change in an “alternative” treatment program does not mean that Suzanne is alive because of the treatments. The facts are, we a society live much longer that we did as a whole just 50 years ago and the longer you live, the more chance you have of developing a cancer of some type.

I have a friend who had acute lymphocytic leukemia 25 years ago and after radiation and chemo he went into remission and is still walking this earth. I wouldn’t bet that he would have the same results cleansing his system of toxins. I’m convinced I would be visiting his grave on holidays and not his happy home. Since he was a marathon runner who ate a very restrictive organic diet, I don’t think he could have improved much on his nutritional intake.

Chemotherapy didn’t kill the actor. Pancreatic cancer did. Even the leading authority on alternative pancreatic cancer treatments–Dr. Kelley–died of pancreatic cancer even though he believed in a holistic approach.

I spend so much time writing about health issues, talking to doctors and raising awareness and funds for PC research and to see an actress make a blanket statement about medicine is very troubling.
