Suspected Paula Abdul Stalker Dead Near Singer’s Home
A woman suspected of stalking American Idol judge Paula Abdul was found dead near the former singer’s home late Tuesday evening.
The victim was found dead in a car, yards from Paula’s Sherman Oak, California home, from a possible drug overdose just after 6PM, according to Officer Karen Smith, a spokesperson for the LAPD.
“Our Van Nuys division did receive a call from the Ventura County’s Sheriff. A woman’s parents reported her missing and they thought that she may be at Paula Abdul’s house.”
The parents of the woman believe their daughter was near Paula’s home because she was “a big fan” of the Idol personality.
“All we know is that a woman was found dead in her vehicle … and police are investigating it at this time.”
The spokeswoman added, “We do not know the cause of why she died. And the L.A. coroner’s office will be following up with an investigation.”
“Paula was at the studios when this happened,” says Rob Bailey, a publicist for Abdul. “She was completely unaware of it until the FOX people were notified.”
