Scottish songbird Susan Boyle has stormed the music scene in Australia after her debut album earned the highest seven-day sales ever seen in the country upon its release there last week.

The Britain’s Got Talent star-turned-global singing sensation sold almost 165,000 copies of her platinum-certified CD I Dreamed A Dream last week, breaking the record of Guy Sebastian’s 163,000 sales at Christmas 2004.

Boyle set another Australian chart milestone – she is the only act to sell over 100,000 albums in two consecutive weeks.
