Susan Boyle, the Scottish singer who became a worldwide YouTube sensation during her stint on Britain’s Got Talent, will sound off on her rise to fame in an interview with The Today Show July 22.

The frumpy Susan was dubbed “The Hairy Angel” by the British tabloids after she wowed the world with her rendition of Les Miserables’ “I Dreamed A Dream,” but in her TODAY interview, she sports a new hair-do and a flattering gown.

“It’s just a slight makeover. I brush up quite well,” she joked.

“It’s just been unbelievable, it’s indescribable,” she told host Meredith Vieira. “I’m having a wonderful time. I don’t want it to end. It’s just really good.”

She added: “Being plucked from obscurity is a bit like going on a long journey, really; you don’t know what’s going to happen. You don’t know how it’s going to end.”
