Susan Boyle Lost “Britain’s Got Talent”
Susan Boyle is officially the Adam Lambert of Britain’s Got Talent.
The shy singer from Scotland — who became a YouTube sensation after making an impressive showing on UK reality series in April — lost the big finale on Saturday despite earning high praise from all of the judges.
“That to me was THE greatest I’ve seen in Britain’s Got Talent history… You should win. I loved it,” judge Piers Morgan exclaimed. said.
Amanda Holden, a British actress and judge, was nearly moved to tears during the performance.
“You did it girl, you did it for Scotland,” Amanda said. “Can I just say, Simon had a tear in his eye.”
For the final round, Susan performed the song got her into the finals “I Dreamed a Dream” from the 1985 musical Les Miserables, unfortunately for her, this time around the performance was not strong enough to keep her from finishing in second place behind Diversity, a dance troupe from Essex, England.
“The best people won,” Susan remarked.
“They’re very entertaining. Lads, I wish you all the best,” she told the group, after she found out that she had lost the competition — and with it $100,000 and the chance to sing for Queen Elizabeth.
“What a journey,” Susan said of her BGT run. “Unbelievable, very humbling.”
