Steven Tyler Shoulder Broken After Stage Fall
Steven Tyler is recovering from a broken shoulder following his stage fall during an Aerosmith show in South Dakota on Wednesday night.
The “Dream On” rocker tumbled off stage while dancing at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. Tyler was checked out be festival physicans before being airlifted to nearby Rapid City Regional Hospital, suffering head, neck, and shoulder injuries.
He received stitches in his head and back and broke his shoulder in the stage blunder, Billie Perry, the wife of Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, told fans on her Twitter page Thursday.
“He hit his head and back. No concussion, stitches in head and back near shoulder. Broken shoulder. Yes he is very sore. We were all worried,” she wrote.
On Thursday, the band announced that their Friday night show in Winnipeg, Canada has been postponed.
