Stephen Curry really needed to play well last night if they Warriors were to have any chance at winning their game last night and a shot at winning the current series against the Memphis Grizzlies.
He was back to his regular MVP-worthy self last night after having a poor shooting performance in games 2 and 3 and scored the majority of the Warriors’ points to end the first half and kept the momentum up in the second half, leading the Warriors to an easy victory.
Curry was on fire last night early on in the game including the crazy clip of his missed dunk that somehow rolled in off the rim. It is hard to imagine what he was thinking attempting a dunk anyway since he almost never dunks the ball, but he was obviously feeling the momentum and wanting to show off.
Stephen Curry and the Warriors got off to such a big lead early that he was hardly needed for the second half. However, he showed up big and scored 33 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in a much-needed win for the Warriors before heading back to Oracle Arena to host the Grizzlies.
Every player on the Warriors seemed determine to win last night including some big 3’s from just about everyone and some big time dunks as well. Despite losing 2 games in a row to the Grizzlies, they came out strong and proved why they are one of the most fun teams to watch.
As the saying goes, “sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good,” and fortunately for Curry and the Warriors, he was both during last night’s game and the Warriors should gain some momentum back after the big win.
Stephen Curry and the Warriors will head back home to host the Grizzlies on Wednesday night. The series is currently tied 2-2 after a 101-84 victory that saw both teams taking out their starters toward the end of the game.
