Star Jones Hires Security To Protect Her From “Real Housewife” NeNe Leakes
Girl Fight! NeNe Leakes has a new enemy — and for once, it isn’t one of her fellow Atlanta “Houseflies.”
The boisterious Southern belle best known as one of TV’s Real Housewives of Atlanta appeared on The Wendy Williams Show Tuesday, where she confessed that there’s no love lost between she and former View co-host Star Jones. For those not in-the-know, the legal eagle is one of 15 other contestants competing against NeNe on NBC Celebrity Apprentice this spring. The catfight between the rivals got so heated that Star had to hire her own security detail to keep the Bravo star at bay, according to PopEater.com’s Naughty but Nice Column.
“NeNe is coming unhinged,” a source close to Star tells the website, adding that during taping the Real Housewives of Atlanta star made La Toya Jackson cry and even got in the face of singing legend Dionne Warwick. “Clearly, she can’t get along with women, especially other black women. She is losing it,” said the source.
A friend of Star’s tells the site that Star feels that NeNe — who famously choked her Real Housewives co-star Kim Zolciak back in 2009 — ould be a physical threat to her as week. That’s why she’s hired her own private security guards.
“Star is a real celebrity, not some cheap reality star who is enjoying 15 minute of fame. She’s a lawyer and a lady. NeNe can say what she wants about Star, but she doesn’t care now that she knows she’s safe.”
“I’m not feeling Star Jones, I’m sorry,” NeNe herself told Wendy this week, invoking chuckles from the audience. “Star is a trip – like she is very special, I really – she’s special,” she added. “No seriously – I wouldn’t spit on Star if she was on fire.”
Fans will get to see what caused the friction between the two women when the new season of Donald Trump’s The Celebrity Apprentice returns to NBC March 6 @ 9 PM EST.
