If we didn’t know any better, we’d think Stacey Dash was implying that she wants Kanye West to be sexually assaulted.
Dash is a FOX News commentator now. (That punchline just writes itself.) The Clueless actress (in more ways than one) is just a few months into her new gig…which means it’s about time she started courting controversy.
Stacey, 47, did just that during a Wednesday evening appearance on Fox News’ Outnumbered. The conversation turned to celebrities who have compared dealing with the roving lenses of the paparazzi and the invasive nature of fame to rape and war. We’re looking at you, Gwyneth Paltrow. Kanye is also guilty of making the comparison. The rapper — who was ordered to complete community service after an altercation with a pap last summer — was recalling another instance of being harassed by a photographer, when he sprouted off this soundbite during a performance/rant at London’s Verizon Wireless Festival.
“Everybody out here likes sex, right? But if one of the people doesn’t want to do that, that’s called rape. That’s called a violation.”
Yeah…sorta like comparing apples and oranges, Yeezy.
Stacey was the “featured girl” in West’s 2004 music video “All Falls Down.” Unfortunately, the Bronx native didn’t exactly have kind words for her former collaborator while in the presence of her Republican comrades.
“For Kanye to say rape, maybe he needs to spend some time on Rikers Island…Go to Rikers for a little while and then he’ll know what rape is. I don’t get celebrities not understanding that the paparazzi are doing their job.”
Rikers, of course, is New York City’s infamous multipurpose correctional facility — home to some of the Big Apple’s most notorious inmates and detainees. The actress’ conservatism has been the subject of taunts and racially-charged abuse on Twitter ever since she endorsed GOP candidate Mitt Romney’s 2012 run for the White House…in a patriotic one-piece.
