Nicole “Snooki” Poluzzi is learning the hard way that barfing up Barcadi, dancing on bars, and behaving like a general horse’s ass on national television comes with its repercussions.

“The Princess of Poughkeepsie” was recenty booted from her job as a receptionist after she told her boss she would need time off to travel to Los Angeles and promote her role on the controversial MTV reality show Jersey Shore. After just three weeks on the air, the unscripted hit has quickly become well known for featuring the drunken sexcapades of twentysomethings spending the summer in The Garden State resort town of Seaside Heights.

“I was a receptionist at a corporation,” Snooki tells E! News. “I was getting good money, like $13 an hour. I got fired when I asked for time off to go to L.A. [My boss] knew I’d be crazy, so thank God that happened.”
