Zac Efron is so focused on landing serious film roles the High School Musical heart-throb recently turned down an opportunity to record a solo album under the guidance of music mogul Simon Cowell.

A National Enquirer celebrity item reads:

“With my know-how and your voice, we can make millions,” said Simon – who even offered to charter a jet to fly Zac to London for discussions.
