The injuries actor Shia LaBeouf sustained to his hand, head and knee in last weekend’s alcohol-related crash will be written into the Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen script, director Michael Bay said Friday.

The director blasted MSNBC’s report that Shia’s accident halted at a cost of $200,000 per day.

“The car crash with Shia is unexpected, but we are still filming,” Bay wrote on the official Transformers 2 site. “The movie has not shut down — there is plenty to do without Shia. The shooting is also going great — I’m having a blast making this movie! Shia will be back soon and we all wish him a fast recovery.”
