Sheyla Hershey Breast Infection: Woman With World’s Largest Breasts May Lose One
Sheyla Hershey — the plastic surgery addict with the world’s largest breasts — is in the fight of her life after developing a life-threatening staph infection following yet another breast enhancement in June.
After more than 30 cosmetic overhauls, Hershey suffered her first complication following her most recent breast augmentation procedure — which took her bust to a 38 KKK — last month. The Brazilian-born model, who now resides in Houston, was left bedridden and struggling to breathe after the June procedure. A severe staph infection reached both of Hershey’s breasts and doctors have ordered surgery to remove the implants, and possibly one of her breasts.
Sheyla, who is fluent in five languages — Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and English, has been ill in the days leading up to her surgery: “I had a large fever and it was painful (after last month’s operation). I just couldn’t breathe properly, it was terrible. I was in bed all day, couldn’t get up.”
Her surgeon is concerned that the infection could leak into her bloodstream, which would likely prove fatal.
In the wake of this medical emergency, the blonde says she is trying to work through her obsession with plastic surgery for the sake of her young son, who has asked her to reduce her breast size.
