It’s been a while since we’ve heard any new tunes from Sheryl Crow. Somewhere between touring and balancing her duties as a single mom to her two young sons, Sheryl’s managed to roll out the red carpet for the world video premiere of “Summer Day,” the willowy uptempo track that will serve as the lead single off her upcoming album, 100 Miles From Memphis.

The trendsetting musician has high hopes for her latest foray on the pop-rock scene.

“Summer Day is a delightfully breezy slice of glory-days AM radio pop. I wanted to experiment with writing something simple and positive,” says Crow. “The feeling of a great, solid love—not just a new love, but something everlasting.”

Sheryl’s album premieres July 20.
