Sixteen-year-old Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Shawn Johnson will make a guest appearance on the mid-season finale of The Secret Life of the American Teenager, the ABC Family cable network confirmed on Wednesday.
Show producers say they reached out to Shawn with an offer to guest-star on the series after learning that the teen gymnast is a big fan in last week’s edition of Us Weekly.
Shawn will play herself in an episode airing Tuesday, September 9 at 8 PM EST on ABC Family.
