Sharon Stone raised eyebrows and controversy after making an insensitive remark about the devastating earthquake in China that has left over 67,000 people dead.

“All these earthquakes and stuff happened and I thought, ‘Is that karma?’ When you are not nice, bad things happen to you,” Sharon told a Chinese media outlet during the Cannes Film festival last Thursday.

“I’m not happy about how the Chinese are treating the Tibetans, I don’t think anyone should be unkind to anyone else,” the Golden Globe Award-winning actress said. “They’re not being very nice to the Dali Lama, who’s a good friend of mine.”

Would Sharon Stone call 911 “Karma”? Disregard the fact that she hasn’t done enough reading on Tibetan history - her comments are ignorant, insensitive, and offensive to the victims of the Sichuan Earthquake.
