Shannen Doherty “90210″ Return Confirmed

Confirmed: Shannen Doherty has landed a starring role on The CW’s new Beverly Hills, 90210 spinoff, premiering September 2. The actress will reprise her role as “Brenda Walsh” in multiple episodes of the new show, the network announced on Saturday.

Shannen starred as Brenda on the popular FOX soap from 1990-1994, before being fired from the series after multiple run-ins with her co-stars.
Ironically, S.D will be reunited with a few members of the old West Beverly High School gang.
Jennie Garth will return as Kelly Taylor, now a guidance counsellor at the school, and Tori Spelling will be back as Donna Martin, who owns a boutique. Also back is Joe E Tata, who will once again play Peach Pit cafe owner Nat.
According to a statement released by The CW, Brenda has gone on to become a successful theater actress in London and New York and now works as a stage director. She returns to television’s favorite zip code after West Beverly Hills High School asks her to be guest director for the school’s musical production.
