Britain’s Got Talent Season 3 sensation Shaheen Jafargholi — just 12 years old — commanded his audience with a solid performance of The Jackson 5′s “Who’s Lovin’ You” at today’s public memorial honoring the life and work of Michael Jackson.

Choreographer Kenny Ortega insisted that young Shaheen perform at the afternoon tribute after MJ himself selected that aspiring star to appear at a few of his This Is It performances at London’s O2 Arena.

“I love Michael Jackson. I just want to thank him so much for blessing me and every single individual on earth with his music,” Jafargholi said after he finished the song.

Music legend Smokey Robinson, who wrote the song, told fans that he could not believe that a 10-year-old could sing with such soul and feeling when he first heard MJ perform the track back in 1968.
