“Sex And The City Movie” Review Variety Magazine

The Sex And The City Movie made it’s world premiere with a splash in London on Monday. Variety has issued the first review on the highly-anticipated film-and the mag’s critics have been left unmoved, calling Sex And The City so-so.
Although there’s pleasure in seeing HBO’s fabulous four reunited, writer-director Michael Patrick King doesn’t fully bridge the gap between TV and film — delivering major story flourishes but, too often, playing like a regular episode bloated to five times its customary length.
Sex And The City opens in theaters May 30th.
