“Sex And The City Movie” Premiere New York City Tickets Oversold

An infuriated mob stomped police barricades in a profanity-laced rant after thousands of Sex And The City fans were refused entry to the movie’s New York City premiere on Tuesday despite having tickets. Organizers of the long-awaited premiere at Manhattan’s Radio City Music Hall have been accused of overbooking the 6,000-seat venue.
Over 2,000 people who received tickets to the star-studded affair through promotional giveaways from New Line Cinema were locked out of the screening, the New York Daily News reports.
“We waited in line [for] 2 1/2 hours,” says SATC fan Alissa Hoffma, who attended the premiere for her twenty-seventh birthday.
“I’ve spent five months looking forward to this. I’m angry and frustrated,” said Jen Ferguson, 23.
Jen told the NYDN that her parents had bought four tickets for $1,000 each and booked rooms at The Plaza Hotel in preparation for the premiere.
