They may share a homeland, but don’t expect Canadians Seth Rogen and Justin Bieber to meet up for a friendly game of ice hockey anytime soon.
The comedian has always been outspoken about his dislike for the pop prince, but Rogen took his animosity for the Biebs to the airwaves this week, blasting the singing sensation during an appearance on Monday’s edition of The Howard Stern Show.
The Neighbors actor pulled no punches during his chat with the shock jock, describing Bieber as “a good example of someone who you meet, who you think you’re going to hate…and then you get to hate him.” Let Rogen tell it, the trouble-magnet Bieber “lives up to every one of your expectations of how you hope he will be.”
We’re guessing that isn’t a good thing.
Seth first had occasion to meet Justin when they were both guest on a German talk show in 2012. Rogen’s description of the encounter: Odd, to say the least.
Bieber, Rogen claims, specifically requested a meeting with the former Freaks and Geeks star. Once the pair were formally introduced, however, Justin made it seem like Rogen was the one who asked for the meeting in the first place.
“What the f**k, I don’t want to meet you! Don’t act all nonplussed to meet me. I didn’t want to meet you. I was totally cool with not meeting you. I was like, ‘He’s a little bit of a motherf**ker. Whatever. He’s a bit of a dick.'”
Rogen encountered Bieber again two years later, during an event hosted by MTV. Bieber arrived wearing a “live snake” as an accessory. Yeah, not the way to get into Seth’s good graces.
Rogen recalls speaking to Bieber briefly, but ultimately walked away thinking, “He’s a piece of sh*t.”
