Seth Meyers final “Weekend Update” on SNL; Seth says goodbye to Saturday Night Live

After 10 years of brining us the weekend update…Seth Meyers said goodbye to Saturday Night Live last night as he prepares to take over for Jimmy Fallon on The Late Show later this month.

Seth used his final weekend update to bring up President Obama, “This week, President Obama delivered the State of the Union address, while Vice President Joe Biden just delivered.” The always controversial Duck Dynasty stars, “Willie Robertson, one of the stars of Duck Dynasty, attended as a guest of Rep. Vance McAllister and no one was more upset about it than Louisiana Senator Bill Quackenbush.”

And an easy target….Pope Benedict, “During a ceremony this week at the Vatican in which two doves were released by children in the name of world peace, a seagull and crow swooped down and attacked the doves. Said former Pope Benedict, ‘Excellent, my pets.’ ”

But Seth was also joined by SNL vets Amy Poehler and Andy Sanberg….both of which teased and joked but affectionately said goodbye to Seth.

Are you excited to see Seth take over The Late Show?
