It would make for a compelling episode of Family Guy, but Seth MacFarlane says his Oscar hosting days are in the dust.

MacFarlane made his Academy Awards debut at Sunday show, but when fan asked if he’d be wiling to MC Hollywood’s Biggest Night again in the future he gave a flat out “no.” A tough cookie for Facebook and Twitter fans who’ve hailed him the “best host ever.”

“No way. Lotta fun to have done it, though.”

The selection of MacFarlane as Oscars host was seen as an attempt to attract younger viewers by the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the industry body that organizes the annual awards.The Family Guy and Ted creator drew a large TV audience, but was a throne for was critics — who branded the comic “offensive. Pundits slammed MacFarlane’s opening segment for being too long and condemned his original song “We Saw Your Boobs,” an ode to actresses who have appeared topless on screen.

The addition of Seth was, however, a hit with younger audiences. Ratings for the Oscars broadcast shot up 11% from 2012, drawing the largest audience in three years with 40.3 million viewers.
