High fashion has come to Sesame Street — and not a moment too soon, because Bert and Ernie could really use a new wardrobe.

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the children’s classic Sesame Street, Harper’s Bazaar Magazine has paired the Muppets of public television’s most memorable neighborhood with some of the biggest names in the world fashion — including Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, and Diane von Furstenberg — for a one-of-a-kind photoshoot on the pages of the mag’s September issue.

Harper’s Bazaar asks Grover: “Will minimalism ever go out of style?”
