Serena Williams suffered a loss to fellow American tennis player, Sloane Stephens in her quarterfinals match at the Australian Open. It appears that an ankle injury Serena suffered could have played a factor in the upset.
“I’ve had a tough two weeks between the ankle, which is like this big every day,” Serena said during interviews at the Open. Serena rolled her ankle in the opening set of her first-round match against Edina Gallovits-Hall and battled through the pain. Serena has a couple of months to heal, the French Open is the next major, set to kick-off in May.
Ouch is right Serena….feel better soon.
