Security has been beefed up on the set of Twilight: New Moon to protect British heartthrob from besotted fans.

“Robert is having to come to terms with having his own personal fan club wherever he goes.”

Producers have been forced to hire extra security for the 22-year-old actor after crowds inundated the set of the Twilight, opening in theaters in November.

“It’s got to the point where security measures have had to be trebled to keep these people off the set,” spies with Britain’s The Sun claim. “At one point a fake shoot was set up to throw these kids off the scent but they are surprisingly resourceful.”
