A scantily-clad Rihanna was turned away from a Catholic church in Venice earlier this after clergy frowned on her skimpy outfit and branded her in violation of the parish’s strict dress code.

Rihanna tried to enter Saint Mark’s Basilica in San Marco on Sunday, but refused entry due to strict rules, which demand womenn’s shoulders and legs must be covered, The Sun reported Wednesday.

“To beat the ban, she rustled up a makeshift ensemble which looked suspiciously like she had just grabbed two red tablecloths from a nearby restaurant,” the tabloid wrote.
