Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, Republican candidate for Vice President, introduced herself to the nation in a keynote address at the RNC, live from Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Wednesday night. Palin used the speech to accept the party’s nomination and outline her experience while never missing an opportunity to stick it to Democratic nominee for president Senator Barack Obama. Check out the video below.

“Well, I’m not a member of the permanent political establishment. And I’ve learned quickly, these past few days, that if you’re not a member in good standing of the Washington elite, then some in the media consider a candidate unqualified for that reason alone. Now, here’s a little news flash for those reporters and commentators: I’m not going to Washington to seek their good opinion — I’m going to Washington to serve the people of this great country.”

“I was just your average hockey mom. I love those hockey moms, you know, they say, what is the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick. I was just your average hockey mom and signed up for the PTA because I wanted to make my kids’ public education better.”

I think that the McCain campaign needed the firm touch of Palin. Ever since McCain announced his Vice President, I was engulfed all over again by her strength, success, experience, and drive as I was and still am for McCain. They are both powerhouses that will bring them all the way to the White House! Go McCain/Palin!

It’s lonely being a Republican lesbian, but, for now, I can’t pry the smile off my face after Sarah’s speech. Thanks John. Thanks Sarah. My battles for the justice of the downtrodden, from the position of a patrol officer, seem a little less in vain. The connection is tenuous, but I wish to make a VERY long story short. My mother was disturbed about the Democratic rhetoric. I assured her that God was watching. Our faith was rewarded through you. Signed “citizen, in my humble, limited capacity, yet spoiled servant” Nancy
