Governor Sarah Palin has accepted David Letterman’s apology to her family for a joke he told about her daughter on CBS’s The Late Show last Monday night.

Maybe one day Sarah Palin will apologize for the joke that she is and go away? Dave shouldn’t have caved to the pressure. He owed her nothing!

During the comedian’s show last night, he apologized to the Alaska Governor and her family for the second time for linking her teen daughter to New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez.

“Of course it’s accepted on behalf of young women, like my daughters, who hope men who ‘joke’ about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve,” the Alaska governor said in a statement Tuesday. “Letterman certainly has the right to ‘joke’ about whatever he wants to, and thankfully we have the right to express our reaction. And this is all thanks to our U.S. Military women and men putting their lives on the line for us to secure America’s Right to Free Speech – in this case, may that right be used to promote equality and respect.”
