SAM LUTFI, BRITNEY SPEARS’ close friend, has received a subpoena from KEVIN FEDERLINE’s attorney, MARK VINCENT KAPLAN, People Magazine reports.

Sam’s attendance had been requested for a deposition in the custody case but he “didn’t show” for the deposition scheduled for last Friday.

That deposition has now been rescheduled for January. The attorney added that he will seek a court order to ensure that Lutfi attends the January session.

Kaplan says: “My process server asked if he was Sam Lutfi, he said, ‘Yes.’ The subpoena was handed to him, but he wouldn’t take it. So it was dropped, literally on him. But if someone refuses to take it in their hand and you drop it at their feet, they are served.”
