Sage Stallone succumbed to a heart attack — with no evidence of drugs in his system at the time of his death — according to the Los Angeles County Coroner.
The 36-year-old son of Sylvester Stallone and his first wife Sasha Czack was found unresponsive in his Studio City apartment on July 13. Despite earlier allegations of drug use and alleged depression, the Los Angeles County Coroner has determined that Sage was battling a seemingly undiagnosed heart condition when he died.
The coroner has cited atherosclerotic coronary artery disease as the official cause of death. A postmortem drug test was negative except for a small level of Vicodin.
