i think that Conan has really reached a all time low. i have watched the tonight show nightly since i was a young man i am now 62 . i will now quit and wait till jay comes back on. the show with bruno last night was the poorest excuse for entertainment and what kind of message does this kind of behavior send to his veiwers. a real man would never allow some one to touch him in the way bruno did.tonight show is doomed with conan behind the desk

I think Bruno was disgusting, and that put an end to us giving Conan a try. We will now tape Craig Ferguson, and watch him the next night during Conan. Bruno was practically frantic to show bad taste, and he certainly managed it.

That was funny. You people need to relax a bit it’s simply the same guy that played Borat. It’s funny and all an act.

I think back to the days of Steve Allen and Jack Paar when intelligent conversation could be heard on the Tonight Show. Even Johnny Carson’s gave us a daily monologue that was the talk of the office the next day. Jay Leno gave us some memorably funny moments. But what a let down Conan O’Brien has been. The Sacha Baron Cohen bit was the last time I will see his show. I generally flip between The Tonight Show and David Letterman. No more flipping for me — David Letterman has my full attention. That bit was vulgar. Where is the intelligent writing? The jokes about current events? The guests who have written books? Heck — how about a guest who has READ a book? It is all too manic for me –time to tune out. I bet I could find Jack Paar or Steve Allen or Dick Cavett on dvd. I’ll just watch some real entertainment.

That was pretty funny I thought. What is seriously boring and lame are other people posting here. Tell you what folks – if you want to watch an old man like Letterman, go ahead. If you want to watch 60 yo Jay leno, fine. Just do the rest of us one favour – take your boring old asses and hurry up and die so we don’t have to read your “old people” comments on the internet anymore.
Seriously – there’s a guy posting about Jack Paar or Steve Allen or Dick Cavett. FFS. Boring. Boring Boring.

If you don’t like it then you may do exactly as you wish which is to turn to another channel, but what surprises me is how you got to this internet page. Most likely, you would have to actively seek it out to be on here like myself after hearing about this interview stunt.
Although I can’t date myself like Barbara to the days of Jack Paar and Steve Allen, I’ve watched the trio of O’Brien, Leno, and Letterman for the past 16 years and must admit that O’Brien, by far has not only pushed the envelope but has been the wittiest. Leno is a natural with stand up and Letterman is good at interviews but getting dry.
“Happiness is only true when shared” and if the content is not making you happy then it is most likely that you don’t share the humor that is now considered mainstream. It is probably time that you switch to something else as the content you now see on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien is geared towards a modern audience. It’s sad to see older people not get it and it feels like we’re pushing them as irrelevant and saying get over it and watch something else but I’m sure in due time we’ll be saying the same things about the next person who replaces Conan in about 15-20 years.
Heck, although Jimmy Fallon is doing a great job of relating to his audience, I find myself critiquing him as being less than Conan. I only hope for the sake of all that Jay comes back with mighty material and then all may be able to share in the happiness of joy in their favorite.
