Just when it seemed that the split between one-time American Sweethearts Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon was one of Hollywood’s most Civil, OK! Magazine reports that Ryan has grown upset at how much time the former couple’s two children, eight year old Ava and three year old Deacon, are spending with their mom’s new boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal.

“It’s Jake did this, Jake brought mommy flowers and coffee, Jake says we should recycle,” a friend tells OK!

“Ryan called Reese and suggested she stop letting him (Jake) spend so much time with the kids,” the insider tells OK! “He was pretty irate on the phone. Reese barely let him finish the sentence before she shot back that what she does with her personal life is her business.”
