DILF Leaving the Building: Is the hot piece known the acting world over as Ryan Phillippe hanging up his thespian shoes? Say it ain’t so!
Ry’s become quite the popular guy on The Gossip Circuit over the past few months — what will him dating ex-Mean Girl Amanda Seyfried and reportedly expecting a third child with former booty call Alexis Knapp. But perhaps all the attention’s become a bit too much for the divorced bachelor. (Insert sad face here…)
Phillippe says he’s grown tired of the daunting dog-eat-dog world that accompanies life in front of the camera. And that’s precisely why the now-36-year-old plans to leave Los Angeles in the dust and spend more time in The Big Apple, where he’ll instead pursue a career behind the lens.
Could directing be in Ryan’s future?
“I’m going to move. I’m going to spend a third of my year in New York… I think I’m going to end my acting career. I’m so introverted. I’m ready to be behind the scenes. I’m 36, but I’ve been doing this for 20 years,” the star told The New York Post’s Page Six Column this week.
Phillippe began acting as a teenager and found fame playing a gay teen on the recently-cancelled ABC soap One Life to Live in 2002. He’s gone on to enjoy a stellar Hollywood career, boasting a resume that includes Cruel Intentions, Gosford Park, and the Academy Award-winning drama Crash.
