It sounds like psychotic apples don’t fall too far from the tree.

Reports out of Canada on Wednesday accuse the family of alleged killer Ryan Alexander Jenkins of helping the reallity star evade authorities during his week on the lam — and in a stunning move, Jenkins’ dad is blasting the murdered and mutilated model, who he claims “destroyed” his son.

Dan Jenkins, an accomplished Calgary architect, defended his son in an interview with The Calgary Sun this afternoon, blasting Hollywood and Jasmine Fiore for “destroying” his son.

“He went to Hollywood and something down there in the last 4 months, including this girl, just destroyed him. I’m not at all convinced that he did this crime yet. He was terrified and alone.”

No one wants to believe a kid they raised could be capable of murder, but blaming the victim is taking things a step too far.

Dan also believes his son fell into the wrong crowd after moving to the Los Angeles suburbs.

Ryan, a former contestant on the VH1 series Megan Wants A Millionaire, hung himself in a Canadian motel room on Sunday. He was the subject of an international manhunt after being charged with strangling Fiore — and later removing her teeth and fingers in a bid to hamper attempts to identify her.

Other reports claim the grey PT Cruiser that dropped Ryan off at the Thunderbird Motel last week was registered to Dan — bolstering accusations that Ryan’s half-sister, Alena Jenkins, was driving the car.
