Drawing on the success of last year’s hit “Elephant In The Room” ad, Russell Brand and Britney Spears have teamed up for another promo for MTV’s annual Video Music Awards. In a commercial unveiled on Wednesday, a bikini-clad Britney Spears doubles as a mind reader, as she wishes for a personal invite from the British comic — who is back to host the program for the second year in a row.

The 2009 VMAs will air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City Sept. 13 (9PM EST) on MTV.
