Rubina Ali Memoir — “Slumdog Dreaming” Book July 16

Rubina Ali, the 9-year-old actress who played young Latika in the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire, has written a memoir.
The accomplished young lady — who was allegedly put up for sale by her father earlier this year — is chronicling her life growing up in the slums of Mumbai, the breakout acting gig that should have changed her life, and her first trip to the U.S., where she attended the 2009 Academy Awards. Rubina also talks about “playing marbles with her friends beside the sewers of Garib Nargar in Mumbai, to dancing along to the Bollywood films she and her family watch on their old television set.”
“(Ali) tells her own incredible story, from playing marbles with her friends beside the sewers of Garib Nagar in Mumbai, to dancing along to the Bollywood films she and her family watch on their old television set.”
Slumdog Dreaming will be released in the U.S. and the U.K. on July 16.
