The apple doesn’t fall far from the beauties: At the ripe old age of 10, Romeo Beckham is making his debut as the new face of Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2013 campaign. The pint-sized cutie’s first ads for the high-end fashion house debuted on Monday.
Romeo — the second of David and Victoria Beckham’s four children — was hand-picked by the label’s Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey. Bailey explained the move in a press statement:
“This season’s campaign lights up with the infectious energy of an amazing young cast of old and new Burberry family. We had such fun shooting the campaign and I think that comes through in the images, which really reflect the upbeat spirit of the collection.”
Modeling, after all, is in Romeo’s genes. David, an H&M spokesmodel, and Victoria, a fashion designer, have each posed for their fair share of fashion campaigns; including a His and Hers campaign for Armani underwear in 2008.
